Who knew you could do so much with glass? From peerie glasses to framed pictures to large statement pieces, this exhibition will leave you amazed. Thank you to Cheryl Jamieson of Glansin Glass, Unst for showing with us.

A message from Cheryl

Normally you're told not to do it, but it's great fun to play with glass.  I'm very lucky to work with this amazing material for a living but sometimes I'm so busy running Glansin Glass, I actually don't get much chance to just 'play'.  When I was asked to exhibit bu work, I decided it was a chance to do just that and the pieces you see here are the result.  I hope you like what you see.  There is a wide range of techniques demonstrated and a variety of products.  Glass is such a versatile material, it's a brilliant medium to work in.  It allows me to express my love of Shetland, inspired by our stunning landscapes, world class wildlife and fascinating heritage.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this exhibition.  If you have any questions about any of the pieces or processes, please get in touch with me at the Glansin Glass Visitor Centre in Unst
